Landon Gets Back on Track

  5/1/2008

Coming off a four-overtime loss to Georgetown Prep Friday, Landon’s varsity lacrosse team played like nothing ever happened Wednesday, defeating Langley High School 10-4. The Bears’ defense prevented Langley from scoring during the entire first half as Landon improved to 14-4 on the season.

Attackman Patrick Keena continued his remarkable freshman season, scoring three goals in the first quarter to pick up the hat trick. Keena was also credited with an assist. Michael Grossman (2 goals) and Andrew Nagel each fell one goal shy of a hat trick while Josh Offit (1 goal), David Chakola (1 goal) and Harrison Archer (1 goal) rounded out the scoring for the Bears.

Landon will play at DeMatha Friday before hosting Spalding Tuesday. The IAC Tournament begins next Wednesday and runs through May 14th.
