WCAC Baseball: Seedings Set for Playoffs

The final day of conference games in the WCAC took place Wednesday, and the four baseball games that took place all had big impacts on the seedings heading into the postseason.

DeMatha was able to defeat Gonzaga in eight innings to wrap up the seventh seed in the playoffs and a first round date with a surging Paul VI team. The Panthers earned the No. 2 seed by pummeling Good Counsel, 11-0, to finish 11-5 in the conference.

St. John's continued their winning ways with a lopsided victory over St. Mary's Ryken, and the Cadets (15-1) will face Bishop McNamara (5-11) in the first round.

Bishop Ireton took the sixth seed with a 3-0 victory over McNamara, and the Cardinals will face Good Counsel in the first round.

St. Mary's Ryken and Gonzaga will be the fourth and fifth seeds, respectively. The complete breakdown of the seedings are as follows:
