New York Daily News talking about the possitibility of Paul being traded to the Knicks this season. What do the Knicks have to give up that the Hornets would covet? Would the possibility of having a "Big Three" this season be too great to pass up, or should the Knicks wait until Paul is a free agent in 2012?

I don't think the Knicks have enough to offer unless they have give up all three guard prospects - Douglas, Shumpert and Fields, as well as Billups' contract and cash. I don't think you can do that to a team that is already thin from the Carmelo trade. It would take too long for the Knicks to build the roster around them, and Amar'e's knees won't last forever. I think this time you develop your squad, be as compettiive as possible with STAT and Melo and wait until Paul hits free agency in a year.

ESPN: Hornets may deal Paul before season

There is rising sentiment within the New Orleans Hornets' organization to trade Chris Paul before the 2011-12 season even starts if he hasn't signed an extension with the team by then, according to sources close to the situation.

Sources told ESPN.com that Paul and Hornets general manager Dell Demps did have their expected sitdown at the team's practice facility Monday and that the tone of the meeting was amicable. But Paul, sources said, did not tell the Hornets that he is prepared to sign an extension before the regular season opens Christmas Day, which only increases the likelihood that the Hornets deal the star guard this month.

there's no way they can swing for Paul right now. The trade doesn't make sense on either end. If the Hornets really feel like they absolutely have to move him right now to avoid a hoopla and a bad perception among potential new ownership, they'll give him up for 75 cents on the dollar to a team like the LA Clippers. They won't trade Paul for 50 cents on the dollars, which is at best what the Knicks have to offer in any package that obviously doesn't include Stoudemire or Anthony. This is the likely scenario here. As for the Knicks options, you've got to get a big man in Free Agency to play center and avoid the Paul sweepstakes. Hold out hope that he'll hit the market in a year.

I don't think that is a good idea because they have good guards in Knicks right now and not that I'm saying that Chris Paul is not a good but I think there are better teams that CP3 fits just like NOLA. What Knicks need is a strong center and Kristaps Porzingis can stay playing forward because he is better at that position.

I agree to chris paul go to new york knicks because its an advantage to have a good point guard to assist and have a good ball handling skill that will improve the team and have a chance to win.
