Things You Should Know

IAC basketball continues to use the points system for the regular season and playoffs. For the regular season, Episcopal finished first (6 points), Bullis was second (5 points), Landon was third (4 points), Georgetown Prep and St. Albans tied for four fourth place (3 points) and St. Stephen's was last with one point.

With Prep and Landon winning on Tuesday, St. Stephen's and St. Albans have been eliminated from any type of title contention for 2011-2012, although it should be noted that St. Albans finished very strong down the stretch and STA coach OJ Johnson should be commended for a job well done his first season at St. Albans.

Here is a breakdown of the remaining teams in IAC contention.

School Reg. Season Points Minimum Final Points Max Final Points
Episcopal 6 9 12
Bullis 5 8 11
Landon 4 7 10
G. Prep 3 6 9

Landon will play at Bullis Friday and Prep will play at Episcopal. The two teams that win will meet Saturday for IAC tournament championship.
