Ranked #1 or #2 in virtually every national poll.  Highest scoring half of football i have ever seen at any level.  Note:  Corona Centennial is a PUBLIC school who plays everyone (this is the first private school they have played this year).  St. John Bosco is a private school.  This is for the California Southern Section championship.  It is being broadcast live on Fox Sports West which is Verizon channel #302.  Comcast also carries Fox Sports West but I am unsure of the channel #.

Correction, St. John Bosco is the FIFTH private school they have played thus far this year.  Last week Centennial beat Mater Dei in a nationally televised game.  There is a live thread discussing this game on DJ's national board where more than 30 people are logged on watching it and discussing it.

Last comment:  the game is being played in Angel's Stadium and unofficial capacity is more than 25,000.

I have the understanding that Corona Centennial is allowed to pull athletes from all over the 2.3 million population Riverside county.

Yeah because Damascus is a 3A school and has a population of about 12,000 to choose from!

Final Corona Centennial 62 St. John Bosco 52  Corona will play De La Salle for the Open Division state championship in two weeks in Sacramento.  That game will probably be televised, perhaps by Fox Sports West as these have.

If anyone from DeMatha is reading this:  Corona Centennial is the game you should try to get next year.  They are a 3,000 student public school with virtually an open enrollment for the 2.3 million people Riverside county.

Unfortunately a game between Dematha and Centennial will never happen.  Over the past 10 years Centennial has only played 1 team outside of the state of Cali which was a lost to Bishop Gorman in 2014. They are always a factor for the Cali state championship and dominate most schools in the state.

A game against Dematha would be great and test the true depth, skills, and ability of the starters/backups since Centennial has with a roster of 120 players.  Outside of the core 30, several players dont see the field until their junior and senior year.  I agree if you are trying to say there should be an overall State of Maryland championship tourney featuring the Dematha, the 4A champ - Wise, the 3A champ Damascus, the 2A Champ - Patuxent, and 1A - Fort Hill, the MIAA Champ - Gilman, the IAC champ - ?
